Manager, Business Systems Analysis


Commvault is seeking a Manager, Business Systems Analysis to join our team in either our global headquarters in Tinton Falls, NJ or Chicago, IL. Lead technical projects, solution design and delivery, and business processes that streamline, automate, and scale the way we work at Commvault.  You are expected to help lead & drive the vision, strategy, and execution of a product roadmap within the global operations organization, working with the Senior Leadership of the global go-to-market org, department Vice Presidents, subject matter experts, and users to understand the needs of the business and to develop technical solutions to meet those needs. You will be responsible for leading cross-functional projects teams and will have direct management responsibility for a team of business analysts.  In this position, you will report directly to the Director, Business Ops Process & Applications.

Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Collaborate with sales, channel sales, sales enablement, marketing, and other key stakeholders to define, prioritize, and help execute our go-to-market strategy on the Salesforce Sales Cloud platform
  • Participate in projects of various complexities and scope: some requiring management of cross-functional teams, others simply as a sole contributor
  • As necessary, manage all implementation processes including resource allocation, progress tracking, monitoring change control process, testing, documentation, training, and on-time delivery
  • Drive operational excellence, stability, and scale by observing strict change control, and best practices for project management, issue mitigation, stakeholder management, data governance, and release management
  • Develop, analyze, and validate detailed functional specifications and business requirements
  • Deliver elements of systems design, including data migration rules, business rules, use cases, wireframes, workflow diagrams, state diagrams, and other detailed deliverables
  • Acclimate quickly on current system configuration in order to troubleshoot and improve system usability and performance
  • Build relationships at various levels of the organization to better understand current processes, areas of opportunities, and unique requirements across regional/geographic locations
  • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel ensuring efficient operation of team

Position Requirements Include:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years as a business systems analyst
  • 1+ years management experience
  • Configuration/administration experience with SaaS enterprise CRM system
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Certifications
  • Experience with Agile software development or similar methodology
  • Experience with relational databases, data modeling, and database concepts
  • Professional services/consulting experience
  • Prior experience working in software industry
