Senior Salesforce Administrator

Position Overview 


The Senior Saleforce Administrator role will be responsible for providing support to the organization through the customization and configuration of the Salesforce platform. The position will manage the Salesforce.com database, reporting, and provide training and support to users. The individual will have a record of success in improving processes and adoption using the Force.com platform. The administrator will work closely with functional leaders, organizational units, and subject matter experts to identify develop and deploy new business processes.


Position Responsibility

  • Execute declarative Salesforce application configuration
  • Assist in training of new users, and grow the Salesforce.com skill set across the organization
  • Operate as front line support for user base
  • Handle all basic administrative functions including user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, workflows and other routine tasks
  • Work closely with Business Systems Analysts and others to determine project requirements
  • Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades
  • Manage Salesforce.com data feeds and other integrations
  • Assist in training of new users, and grow the Salesforce.com skill set across the organization
  • Effectively act as the liaison between our users, vendors and the application development teams
  • Participate in the full application life cycle from technical design to development, testing, and deployment
  • Assist in development of documentation to support existing code and configuration based functionality
  • Create and maintain system interface diagrams, functional designs, and technical specifications
  • Understand and support security role maintenance, including role hierarchy, security profiles and access rights
  • Assist in the evaluation of AppExchange tools for feasibility and impact to the business
  • Work independently & on multiple projects against deadlines in a dynamic environment where consistently producing deliverables within agreed upon timelines is expected
  • Support unit testing, integration testing and review of business training materials
  • Monitor and maintain data quality

Skills Required

  • Must demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption.
  • Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce.com best practices and functionality
  • Strong data management abilities
  • A documented history of successfully driving projects to completion
  • A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements
  • Experience with nonprofit processes preferred
  • Previous experience working in a SCRUM or agile environment preferred

Organizational Alignment

  • Reports to Managing Director Technology and Analytics
  • Supports full Sales and Sales Operations staff



Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional experience administering / developing on the Force.com platform (Enterprise edition or higher)
  • Salesforce Administrator Certifications (ADM201, ADM301)
  • Salesforce.com Admin (ADM201 and ADM211) certified
  • Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Developer certifications preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of object-oriented methodologies and approaches
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, database concepts and data management
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
